The Digital Service Fellows spent the 2015 Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service hosting The S.T.E.M. Family Fair at the Philadelphia Housing Authority’s Norman Blumberg Apartments. The DSFs set up and ran a variety of fun and educational activities that received great feedback from the residents and community members. The CEO of the Philadelphia Housing Authority, Kelvin Jeremiah, was in attendance and thanked the Digital Service Fellows for their commitment to community building. Also in attendance, Patricia Schwartz, Executive Director of PennServe, came to participate in the activities and thanked the DSFs for continuing Dr. King’s legacy of national service. The S.T.E.M. activities included exploration of Augmented Reality, the Hour of Code activities, Garage Band, the Anatomy of a Laptop, and a fun Photobooth!
