Reason for Joining the DSF program: Being interested in computers for some time, and after having much success in my computer repair I decided that this is the skill set that I would like to further. In addition to computer repair abilities I have some skill in HTML. One of the main reasons for enrolling in this program is because I needed a program that would allow me gain experience multiple areas of IT.
Personal goals for the year: My personal goals is further my skills in the hardware department as well as gain coding and application skills as well. I would like to be well rounded in the Information Technology field I believe that information and technology in general will be extremely vital in the future. And I want create major impact with my skills. More love, I would like learn the business side of the information technology field as well.
Technical goals for the year: As for my technical goals for this year is to dive deep and learn how software works and how to create my software someday. As I mentioned before I want to learn the Business side of I.T the ins and outs. when entering this field I want to know what to look forward to and what to avoid.
Service goals for the year: For service goals I wish learn how to react and solve problems, and further my people skills. If nothing else my goal in this department is to gain experience in the services of the I.T field.
Areas of interest: The areas I’m interested in coding, application, and how to assemble a computer from random parts. I’m also interested in computer defense and information systems, and animation.
Notable achievements: I managed to stay on honor roll throughout high school getting highest GPA in subjects like world history, algebra 2, government, computer repair, perfect attendance, writing, and chemistry. I also obtain valedictorian award and business math entrepreneurship award, and graduating high school with a 3.7 GPA.
Future plans after the DSF program: After DSF I will like get job that will allow me to use the skills that I’ve learned. I world would use everything that learned to start my own business. I don’t have a clear idea on what my business will be, but I do know that it will have to do with Information technology. Lately I have been reading articles that say technology is rising and soon there will inventions that will change the way we see the world. I always had a niche for creating and things relating to animation, coding, apps will allow me to do so.

Reason for joining the DSF program: I joined the DSF program because I see it as a great opportunity to master skills in different areas of I.T and better myself in my use of computers. Also it’s a great start to a future career in information technology.
Personal Goals for the year: My goals for the year are to learn as much as I can about computers as I can, pass my knowledge on and study to receive my certifications!
Technical Goals for the year: A few of my technical goals are to be able to take any computer apart, put it back together and it successfully work and to successfully service and fix computers that have networking issues. I’d also like to learn coding!
Service Goals for the year: My goal is to learn and gain as much knowledge as I can and pass my knowledge on. Gaining understanding is the key to me servicing others!
Areas of interest: My areas of interest are networking, servers and hardware.
Notable Achievements: There are no notable achievements that come to mind right now, but as I complete the DSF program, I will have some!
Future plans after the DSF program: After learning different areas of I.T. in the DSF program and acquiring some certifications I plan to find an entry level I.T. job and continue gaining understanding in different areas of I.T. I also plan to finish school and receive my degree.

Service goals for the year: To provide a service to as many people as I can.
Areas of interest: Troubleshooting.
Future plans after the DSF program: Go to school to earn a bachelors in computer science.

Reason for Joining the DSF program: I want to continue doing what I love with people who feel the same way as I do.
Personal goals for the year: To learn more than I already know and earn my certifications.
Technical goals for the year: To be able to code a small game on my own without any tutorials or any type of help.
Service goals for the year: To be able to continue to help out my school district with their technical issues.

Notable achievements: I have achieved the Cisco certification for IT Essentials: Hardware & Software, and the Pennsylvania skills certification (advanced or higher on the exams).
Future plans after the DSF program: I plan to hopefully be accepted as a CSS after the DSF program is over and attend college for further education.

School: Abelardo Martinez Otero in Puerto Rico.
Reason for Joining the DSF program: The reason for join the DSF program is that i’m going to be working with computers and is what I like and I knew that if I join the program I was going to learn many things for my future. And is an opportunity that does not exist in my country.
Personal goals for the year: My personal goal for the year is to be able to obtain as many certificates as possible and get a good job at the end of the program.
Technical goals for the year: My technical goal for the year is to learn as much as possible about PC’s, Mac’s, and to be able to exchange experience and ideas with my fellow mates to help the schools and the community.
Service goals for the year: My service goal for the year is to be able to help students and teachers about all the knowledge that I will obtain from the program to be ale to help them the best I can, specially the Hispanics who don’t know much English.
Areas of interest: My areas of interest are break/fix computers, pcs and macs, and be certified on all those areas. Also learn all I can about networking.
Notable achievements: I am certified in ACMT software 9L0-065, Google, MDL.
Future plans after the DSF program: My future plans after the program is to go back to college and create my own business of computer repairs.

Personal goals for the year: To help my fellow DSF members in furthering their education, and make new friends along the way.

Service goals for the year: To provide the best support for the schools I will be stationed at throughout the year.
Areas of interest: I am interested in servers. I also enjoy hardware and networking, and am very familiar with both, but want to learn something new and complicated.

Reason for Joining the DSF program: I am a member of the National Guard and have military certificates in computer technology. However, i do not have civilian certificates. So i joined DSF to earn the certificates necessary for finding secure civilian employment.
Personal goals for the year: To learn as much as humanly possible about computer technology that I can.
Technical goals for the year: I hope to attain my ACMT Certification, CompTia A+ Certification, Google Literacy Certification, learn scripting and learn about how to operate linux.
Service goals for the year: To help and teach as many people (students and teachers) as possible. I just want to make a positive impact, a difference.
Areas of interest: Graphic Design, Photography, Programing/Scripting, Gaming, Computer building and Psychology.
Future plans after the DSF program: To take the next step up and become a mentor or CSS. And after that, I hope to get a job as a computer Technician.

Reason for Joining the DSF program: I wanted to keep up with the every changing world of technology . I also wanted to learned everything i can about computers.
Personal goals for the year: I want to become a better person and more computer savvy, so that one day I will be able to land a better position when this service term is over.

Reason for join DSF program: I am joining the DSF program because I want to learn everything i possibly can about computers,and different types of computer software.
Service goals for the year: By the end of the year i want to be able to diagnose problems and how to fix them on my own.I also want to be able build my own computer and create my own software. My service goal for the year is to teach what i’ve learned to other members of the community.
Areas of interest: My areas of interest include script writing, concept art, painting, poetry, computers, fashion design.
Future plans after the DSF program: For the future i plan to create the ultimate video game system ,game and software (story and concept.) so i’m going to combined my two favorite interest art and technology, and i’m prepared to work twice as hard so that i can make my life long dream a reality.

Reason for Joining the DSF program: I joined the Digital Service Fellows program because when I had a problem with my computer I will always have to sit at my computer waiting for my uncle to come down and fix it. When I went to high school for technology I thought they would teach me how to break and fit, but no they didn’t. They taught me business. When I graduated I found out about this program through a previous DSF, Gary.
Personal goals for the year: Some personal goals I have is to gain as much experience and knowledge as I can while doing the DSF program. Another goal is to try for a CSS position after my year of service.
Technical goals for the year: The technical goals I would like is to learn how to break and fix, further my knowledge in coding and learn more about servers.
Service goals for the year: The service goals that I have is to be able to teach others my knowledge I have about technology that I gained through this program.
Areas of interest: My area of interest is playing video games, helping people when I can, learning new things, doing anything that has to do with technology, and playing/listening to music.
Notable achievements: Some of my notable achievements are second place in FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America), First and Second Honors, and Perfect Attendance.
Future plans after the DSF program: My plans after the DSF program is to get a job being an X-ray Technician.

Reason for Joining the DSF program: I was looking for a way to break into the information technology industry that wasn’t traditional education. When I heard of the DSF program and the concept of service learning I knew I found what I was looking for. To be able to give back to my community while learning is a great opportunity.
Personal goals for the year: I hope to achieve the knowledge and certifications needed to find full time employment in the IT industry by the end of my time with the D.S.F. program.
Technical goals for the year: I hope to achieve my ACMT, A+ Certification, Network + and Security+
Service goals for the year: To make a difference in the Philadelphia school district. For my entire life I’ve been given education and it seems right to finally give something back, especially in the light of budget cuts and other hurdles Philadelphia schools face.
Areas of interest: I find networking, servers and security all very interesting, but I also like coding and some web design.
Notable achievements: I have my Bachelors of Music from Chestnut Hill College.
Future plans after the DSF program: To continue on to full time employment in the IT industry, and eventually continue on to higher education to achieve my Masters degree.

Reason for Joining the DSF program: My reason for joining the Digital Service Fellows Program is that I want to become proficient in as many areas of technology as possible, and gain as much experience as I can so that I may better myself for college or a career in technology. At the same time, I am committed to serving others and helping them learn new information. I believe that if I could give back in my community, the people impacted would help others, subsequently creating a cadre of service-minded individuals helping other communities in Philadelphia and beyond.
Personal goals for the year: 1. Become strong and proficient in all the subjects that are available in the program. 2. Be a good teacher to people of all ages that I will be sharing my knowledge with. 3. Start a healthier lifestyle, join a gym, and take swimming classes. 4. Become financially independent.
Technical goals for the year: 1. Learn and become experienced in the following software/subjects: Coding, Apple Operating Systems, AutoCAD, and Adobe products. 2. Learn how to take apart a laptop, both Mac and PC, and put it back together the right way. 3. Learn intricate details about technology I use and don’t use, for instance, all of the “you can do that?!” details. 4. Learn how a computer works inside and out.
Service goals for the year: 1. Teach a student or students something about technology they want to become more familiar with. 2. Spruce up a High School that has been closed down, or a vacant lot so that it will look more attractive and reduce (at least to a degree) urban blight. 3. Feed the homeless.
Areas of interest: My areas of interest lie mostly around the software side of technology, I would like to learn and become experienced in AutoCAD, and learn some things about software development.
Notable achievements: I have been awarded two paid information technology internships, I have obtained my CompTIA A+ Certification as well as my Cisco IT Essentials Certification, and I was presented with the Class Determination Award from my high school.
Future plans after the DSF program: After I complete the Digital Service Fellows program, I would like to achieve two or more of the following goals: 1. Sell one of my inventions, video games, or apps to a major technology company. 2. Further my education by attending a university, which I will complete within four years, and graduate with two majors. 3. Start my career by either working for a renowned technology company, or start my own business. Lastly but not at all the least: I would like to come back to my community, and give back in a much bigger and better way than the first time.
